We are supporting a large pharmaceutical client who are looking for a Process Engineer on a contract basis
Responsibilities
- Support and improve manufacturing and development processes through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, suppliers, and contractors to optimise operations.
- Lead technical investigations, root cause analysis (RCA), and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Support process development, plant trials, technology transfer, and new product introductions.
- Assist with capital projects and manufacturing process improvements.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve operational performance and reduce cycle times.
- Design and execute experimental programmes using Design of Experiments (DoE), where required.
- Maintain manufacturing and quality documentation in compliance with cGMP requirements.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert (SME) for manufacturing processes and support product lifecycle activities.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards at all times.
Requirements
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, ideally within aseptic, sterile, biologics, or oral solid dose environments.
- Knowledge of process optimisation, technology transfer, validation, and continuous improvement.
- Experience with root cause analysis (RCA), CAPAs, Design of Experiments (DoE), and statistical problem-solving techniques.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Good understanding of cGMP and pharmaceutical quality systems.
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related discipline.
