On Friday, Blackfield Associates celebrated everyone’s incredible efforts and achievements over the first half of the year with a memorable evening at the picturesque Goodwood Racecourse.
We reserved the Long View area, a stunning and spacious venue at the foot of the historic ‘Trundle Hill’. This prime spot offers unrivalled views of the home-straight, making it perfect for watching the horses race to the finish line. Blackfield enjoyed a Chef’s Table buffet-style menu, showcasing local produce and culinary delights.
With a private balcony overlooking the races, everyone had a great time placing bets and cheering on the horses as they sprinted past the finish line. There were some big wins and a few losses, but the excitement was electric!
The food deserves a special mention. Our buffet-style menu, featuring British and Continental charcuterie, Goodwood Estate roast beef and Goodwood Charlton cheese and chive tart, was a huge hit. The meal was completed with traditional favourites like Eton Mess and lemon tart. Delicious!
“Goodwood is one of my favourite places, so being treated to an all-expenses paid experience at The Long View with the STR team was a real treat. From the moment we arrived, the Goodwood staff couldn’t do enough for us with a champagne arrival, then a free bar to keep the drinks flowing. The food was very nice and a great idea to run the table buffet, with burger sliders later in the evening after the races had finished to enjoy while watching the first Euros match on the screens. The DJ set was brilliant, and everyone made it home safe. We had sunshine during the races, and the £50 per brand “race competition” really set a buzz amongst the staff as they all wanted to win! Another BRILLIANT social arranged by STR and this one really set the bar high…I can’t wait for the next one!!”
