I am partnering with a long standing client of Blackfield Associates to find a DeltaV Commissioning Engineer to assist the final stages of a project on a contract until the end of the year.
Requirements
Responsibilities
• Provide on-site DeltaV operational support during CQV test execution (acting as the automation “seat buddy” for CQV engineers).
• Navigate DeltaV to run phases/sequences required for functional testing of equipment.
• Support protocol steps by starting/stopping runs, setting items running and performing appropriate forcing actions when required by test scripts.
• Demonstrate and verify configuration parameter changes/updates in the system (e.g., confirming background/automatic updates) to evidence test outcomes.
• Assist CQV teams in troubleshooting basic operational issues related to DeltaV interaction during tests (within agreed scope).
• Work collaboratively with CQV personnel who provide protocols/documentation but require DeltaV know-how during execution.
Ideal candidate
• Working knowledge of DeltaV at an operational/navigation level (comfortable driving the system during live testing).
• Experience supporting commissioning/qualification/validation activities in a regulated environment (pharma/biotech experience beneficial).
• Able to follow and support execution of test protocols provided by CQV teams without needing to own protocol authorship.
• Comfortable working fully on site (minimum 4 days/week; ideally available for 5 days/week during active testing).
• Pragmatic, hands-on approach; able to keep tests moving by responding quickly to requests from CQV engineers.
