Blackfield Associates are supporting the search for an experienced IT & Automation Manager to join a major pharmaceutical manufacturing investment programme in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Area.
This is an excellent opportunity to lead the delivery of critical IT and automation systems across new facilities, production equipment, and large-scale capital projects while helping to shape the future of their advanced manufacturing strategies.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of IT & Automation SMEs.
- Drive a high-performance culture focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the implementation, qualification, and support of IT and automation systems.
- Ensure systems remain reliable, compliant, and aligned with business needs.
- Develop KPIs and monitor team performance.
- Support technology strategy and identify opportunities for innovation.
- Assist with recruitment, training, and employee development.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven leadership experience in IT, automation, or manufacturing projects.
- Experience with MES, MS SQL, Oracle, IT infrastructure, and automation systems.
- Knowledge of pharma/biotech manufacturing environment project delivery.
- Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement experience beneficial.
